There will be a day-trip this Saturday to the Acland Shelter, which is located part-way along the track on the southern side of Mt Somers.

The plan is to leave town at 7 am, drive to Staveley, tramp to the shelter, have lunch there and a look around, then return home.  The track should take about three hours each way.
